Common questions.
No card, no billing info, nothing up front. You create an account with just your email and land immediately on the Starter plan with a full 7-day Launch trial already running. That means unlimited applications, career path planning, skills analysis, and interview prep from the moment you sign in.
On day 7, the trial ends and your account moves to Starter permanently. Resume Builder, Cover Letter, Carry Pilot (up to 5/week), and job alerts stay free forever. If you want to continue with Launch or move to Pro, that's the first time we ask for payment.
We don't store card details until you choose to pay. There's no auto-charge, no surprise at day 8. The trial simply ends and your account stays on Starter at no cost.
It means the part of job searching that used to take you hours every night happens automatically. Carry scans LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, Lever, and other major boards continuously, comparing every listing against your profile: role, skills, location, salary range, and work preference. Only roles that genuinely fit get acted on.
For each matched role, Carry generates a resume version tailored to that specific job description, adjusting your summary, reordering your skills to mirror the listing's language, and formatting for ATS compatibility. Then it submits through the employer's actual portal, not a mass blast. The application lands in their ATS exactly as if you'd sat down and done it yourself.
Every application goes into your Carry Pilot in real time: company, role, date, status, and which resume version was sent. Nothing happens out of view.
On Starter, Carry Pilot sends up to 5 applications per week. Launch and Pro run continuously at 50-100/week and 250+/week respectively.
Launch handles the search. Pro adds the edge that determines how the search ends.
On Launch, Carry Pilot runs at full speed, 50-100 matched roles per week. Your board fills automatically and every CA tool is unlocked: Career Path Advisor, Skills Gap Analyzer, Resume Builder, Cover Letter, Interview Coach. Nothing requires your attention for the search to keep moving.
Pro adds three things that most people can't replicate on their own. Salary Intelligence tells you exactly what the market pays for your role and location before you walk into any negotiation. LinkedIn Optimizer rewrites your profile against actual recruiter search patterns. And a human writer with real hiring-side experience reviews your resume line by line, not AI feedback, a person who knows what gets past the first screen.
If you need volume, Launch is the right call. If you want every positioning advantage once the interviews start coming, Pro typically pays for itself with a single better offer.
Yes to both, with no friction either way. Upgrading takes effect immediately and you get access to the new plan's features the second you confirm. If you upgrade mid-cycle, we prorate the difference so you only pay for what's left in the period.
Downgrading takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Your current features stay active until then. All your data, profile, application history, and saved documents stay intact when you change plans. Nothing gets deleted.
To cancel, go to Settings, then Billing, then Cancel plan. Your access continues through the end of your paid period, then the account moves to Starter permanently. Your profile and history are preserved for 12 months in case you come back.
If you're between searches, you can also pause Carry Pilot from your dashboard without changing your plan. Applications stop, but your profile and CA tools stay accessible.
This is a Pro feature. From your profile or the Resume Builder, click "Request expert review." Your current resume and target role are sent to a professional writer on our team, someone who has sat on the hiring side of the table and reviewed hundreds of resumes from that perspective.
They read your resume against your target role and evaluate structure, impact language, keyword alignment, and positioning. This isn't a template pass or automated feedback. It's a line-by-line read of how your resume lands in front of a hiring manager who has 40 others on their desk the same morning.
Within 3 business days, you receive a revised version plus detailed notes on every change and why it matters. The revised resume is automatically loaded into your Carry profile, so all future applications use the improved version immediately.
Yes. Your profile, resume, and application data are encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3), the same standard used by banks and healthcare platforms. We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. The only external sharing that happens is when Carry submits an application on your behalf, and that's limited to what the employer's portal actually requires.
You can export all your data at any time from Settings. You can also delete your account and all associated data permanently. When you say delete, it's gone from our servers, not just removed from your view.
Job searching is personal. You might be applying while still employed, exploring a private career change, or navigating a sensitive situation. Carry was built with the assumption that your search is nobody's business but yours.
This is the question almost everyone asks before signing up, and the honest answer is: it depends on how specific your profile is. Carry only applies to roles that match your profile criteria — job title, skills, location, salary range, and work preference. If you set your target to "Remote Product Manager, $90k+, tech industry," Carry won't apply to an on-site warehouse coordinator role. The more specific your profile, the tighter the filter.
If a role does slip through that isn't right, every application is logged in your Carry Pilot. You can flag it as "not a fit" and Carry learns from that signal going forward. You can also add companies or role types to a blocklist from Settings, and they won't come up again.
And if you ever want to stop completely, pausing Carry Pilot from your dashboard takes effect immediately. When you unpause, it picks back up with the same preferences.
Most users find matching quality improves noticeably in the first week as Carry picks up signals from their profile activity.
