Terms of Service
Last updated March 25, 2026 — effective immediately
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Carry, Inc. (“Carry,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the Carry platform and all related services. By creating an account or using Carry, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you’re using Carry on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. The Carry Service
Carry is a job search automation platform that provides AI-powered tools to assist with career planning, resume writing, cover letter generation, interview preparation, LinkedIn optimization, and salary research. The service is delivered as a web application and is intended for personal, non-commercial job search use.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice. We will not be liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.
3. Account Registration
You must create an account to use Carry. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Carry is not intended for use by minors.
You may not create accounts for others without their permission, create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, or share your login credentials.
4. Subscription Plans & Billing
Carry offers three subscription tiers:
- Starter — Free forever with access to the Profile Builder and Dashboard
- Launch — $49/month (or $39/month billed annually) with access to AI-powered career, resume, cover letter, and interview tools plus Carry Pilot job applications
- Pro — $89/month (or $71/month billed annually) with all Launch features plus Salary Data, LinkedIn Optimizer, and the Carry Pro Assistant
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly on the anniversary of your activation date. You authorize Carry (or its payment processors Stripe, Plaid, or your crypto wallet authorization) to charge your payment method on each billing date until you cancel.
Prices are subject to change with 30 days’ advance notice. Price changes will not apply to your current billing period.
Accepted Payment Methods
We accept credit and debit cards (via Stripe), ACH bank transfer (via Plaid), and cryptocurrency. For manual crypto payments (BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, XMR, LTC, AVAX), your subscription requires manual renewal each billing period. Failure to pay within 7 days of the due date will result in account suspension. USDC is supported as an auto-pay option via ERC-20 token approval.
5. Free Trial
New accounts receive a 7-day free trial of Launch-tier features. No credit card is required to start a trial on the Starter plan.
At the end of the trial period, your account will revert to the Starter plan unless you activate a paid subscription. You will receive a reminder before your trial ends.
6. Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until that date.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds for monthly subscription charges that have already been processed. If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access through the end of the paid period — we do not issue partial-month credits.
Exceptions may be made at our discretion in cases of documented billing errors, service outages exceeding 24 hours, or duplicate charges. To request a refund exception, contact hello@carryapp.io within 14 days of the charge.
Pausing
You may pause your subscription instead of cancelling. A paused subscription stops billing and restricts access to paid features. You can reactivate at any time — reactivation is not eligible for a free trial.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Carry only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:
- Use Carry to generate fraudulent, misleading, or plagiarized job application materials that misrepresent your qualifications
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Carry platform or its AI outputs at scale
- Use the service to send unsolicited communications or spam
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or Carry’s systems
- Use the service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the platform or servers
- Resell or sublicense access to Carry without written permission
- Use Carry to violate any applicable law, including employment discrimination laws
Violations may result in immediate account termination without refund.
8. AI-Generated Content
Carry’s tools produce AI-generated suggestions including resumes, cover letters, career path recommendations, interview responses, and LinkedIn summaries. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content is a starting point, not a final product. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all content before submitting it to employers or publishing it publicly.
- Carry does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of AI-generated outputs.
- Salary data, job market insights, and career path recommendations are based on general patterns and may not reflect current conditions in your specific market or field.
- You remain solely responsible for the truthfulness of any job application materials you submit, even if generated with Carry’s assistance.
9. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you upload or create on Carry, including your resume, career data, and any generated documents you save. By using Carry, you grant us a limited license to process and store that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for advertising, training AI models, or any purpose other than operating the service.
10. Intellectual Property
Carry, its name, logo, platform design, and underlying technology are owned by Carry, Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Carry platform without our written permission.
AI-generated outputs produced by your use of Carry (resumes, cover letters, etc.) belong to you, subject to any licenses held by our AI service providers over their model outputs.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
Carry is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for any particular use.
We make no guarantees that using Carry will result in job interviews, offers, or employment. Career outcomes depend on many factors beyond our control.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Carry’s total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid to Carry in the 3 months preceding the claim.
In no event will Carry be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, loss of data, or career-related losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
If you are located outside the United States, local laws may provide you with additional rights that we are required to respect.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and display a notice in the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Carry after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you disagree with updated Terms, you may cancel your account before the effective date and receive a prorated refund of any unused subscription days.
